Homemade BBQ sauce

2-4 slices bacon
1 small onion
3-4 cloves garlic
bay leaf
1/4 c liquid smoke
1/4 c apple cidar vinegar
1/4 c honey
1/4 c brown sugar
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp black pepper

In a skillet, brown bacon. Remove meat, and cook onions, garlic and bay leaf in bacon renderings.

Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add reserved bacon bits. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
